Featured Friday Linky Party--August 2015

Greetings!

I have been rolling an idea around in my mind ever since my TpT Vegas experience in July, and the recurring conference theme of COME TOGETHER, GO FURTHER has convinced me that I need to make it happen.  So here goes!

Today's post launches what I hope will eventually be a monthly linky party designed for those in my TpT and blogger "tribes" to share their favorite resources....and the resources of their friends.

It is my wish that it will provide teachers will valuable units, lesson ideas, literature links, and musical moments that will improve and enrich their students' learning experience.  Ideally it will also create a feedback frenzy that expresses appreciation for the blood, sweat, and tears that my fellow teacherpreneurs pour into their resources.  It is my hope that it will promote collaboration, community, and positive vibes!

Most of you know that the "hippie chick" in me is all about "feeling groovy" and doing nice things for others helps me do just that!  I hope that you will join me as I attempt to pay it forward!

My first  freebie that I'm featuring today is a response writing pack my students love to complete after we read The Day the Crayons Quit.  They love brainstorming reasons why one particular school tool is their favorite, and then we share the booklets they create!  My favorite school tool is an eraser because they help me correct my mistakes!  What's yours?

I also cue up this YouTube video of Kermit the Frog singing Rainbow Connection to keep us in a colorful mood while we work!

My second featured freebie is one I use when I host a  Show and Tell Day in Room #2.  After reading classics like Ira Sleeps Over, Corduroy, and Wemberly Worried at story time, each student takes a turns sitting in our Share Chair to introduce  the stuffed furry friend they've brought from home. Afterwards, they use this writing response pack to create their own story booklet!  If a student forgets their special critter, I have plenty in on our classroom book buddy shelf that they can adopt for the day!

You will find these two booklet activity packs {HERE} in my TpT store!
Know that your thoughtful feedback truly helps me improve my product line.

The rest of the freebies featured belong to some of my best TpT friends and blogger buddies.  You might say they've "been with me from the start" and were just a joy to meet and hang out with in Vegas.  I look forward to continuing to learn from them and use their resources faithfully!  I hope that you will too!

First up is a delightful clip art pack from Laine over at A Little Peace of Africa.  Not only is she one of my favorite graphic artists, but she also designed my blog and store logos/banners!  I  plan to use this pack to make a supplemental activity pack for Junie B. Jones, One Man Band.  This story is near-and-dear to my heart for two reasons.  It teaches the important lesson of "making lemonade when life gives you lemons, AND my daughter will be playing Sheldon in a Chicago children's theater production of Junie B. Jones, The Musical this winter!  When she called to share the good news earlier this week, my heart almost exploded with happiness!  The fact that she will be bringing the story to life in song on stage just makes this Teacher-Drama Mama SO proud!

Her burlap digital papers and accents are the best!

My next featured favorite is from my friend Alexis over at Laugh Eat Learn!  Not only does she make very useful classroom resources, but she also designs blogs and business graphics!  My business cards and store graphic are the result of her ingenuity and creativity!

I plan to use this poetry pack after I read Fall Mixed Up to my second graders in September!  It is a hilarious tale of twisted autumn antics where the squirrels fly south and the geese migrate!

Be sure to check out her
other seasonal poetry packs!

The next two featured friends whose products I love and use repeatedly in my classroom are Sandy from Sweet Integrations and Carla from Comprehension Connections.  This dynamic duo was so nice to include me in their Vegas adventures and truly kept me from getting lost in the maze that was The Venetian!  This picture truly captures their energy and excitement about our evening out!

Sandy's store is full of great resources to help you integrate technology in your daily lessons, and this freebie lists cross-curricular websites for each month!  I can't wait to load them into the Symbaloo menu I am creating to help my students access each one easily!  You can find some great tutorials about how to use Symbaloo effectively, as well as other technology tips on my Pinterest board!

Follow Jennifer Boney-Reynolds's board Tech Tips on Pinterest.

Visit Sandy's TpT store {HERE} to download this awesome collection and  be sure
to check out her project-based learning activities and PowerPoint packs!

Carla is my "go-to gal" for great author study and language arts packs!  This sampler from her poetry unit is a great one for helping students use sensory and visualization skills to understand figurative language.  I plan to use it when I treat my class to the wonderful verses of Jack Pretlusky in A Pizza the Size of the Sun!

Visit Carla's store {HERE} to see more of her great literacy resources!
Be sure to check out her new Phoneme Cue Card sets and Inspirational Poster packs!

Know that your continued support and readership makes the planning, writing, and creating that goes into my store and blog very worthwhile!  Please feel free to link up if you are a fellow seller, or leave a comment below if you are a fellow educator.  Being in the trenches together keeps us all going, doesn't it?  Let's keep rowing this boat and sailing forward!

While you are visiting my friends' stores, be sure to put some more of their
great resources in your shopping cart so you'll
be set for the upcoming sale!

An InLinkz Link-up

As always, thank you for sharing my story!  Keep calm, teach on, look to books for inspiration, and hold a song in your heart!

Peace out,
