Stories and Songs Summer Sunday 2015 Instagram Linky

Greetings on the first Sunday night of Summer 2015 that I am NOT writing lesson plans and prepping materials!

It is a good feeling my friends!

Being that my two personal and professional passions are books and music, this post would not be complete without simple lyrics from a song from one of my favorite folk rock troubadours.  Know that they provide the perfect prelude to some social media fun I have planned!

At present, I am listening to James Taylor sing "Copperline" live on the PBS Transatlantic Sessions while I wait for the Tony Awards to begin!  Watching Broadway's best accept their accolades is usually a ritual I share with my Musical Theatre Girl, but she is in Chicago now "living the dream." Rosie will just have to endure my excitement, my tendency to sing-a-long to all of the show tunes, and the fact that I cry during the acceptance speeches!

The variety of music I am enjoying this evening has sparked an idea that I hope to make a weekly linky on Instagram!   I am curious about YOUR favorite songs, and hope that you'll join the fun!

I will post a new song genre or type each Sunday as our summer unfolds, and hope that you will share a title from your personal playlist that makes your heart happy!

Today's question asks what song reminds you most of warm sunshine, cool water, placid pools, white sand, or gentle waves.  Listen to my favorite, Southern Cross by Crosby, Stills & Nash {HERE}.  I listened to it just this afternoon as I enjoyed some much-needed poolside time with my Tankini Girls!

Thanks in advance for joining the "feeling groovy" fun!

Continue to share your story, hold a special song in your heart, and teach your children well!

Peace out,
