MEET MERCY WATSON
As many of you know, Kate DiCamillo and Chris Van Dusen have written an entertaining and popular chapter book series about Mercy Watson. This post focuses though on the prequel picture book that gives us the backstory of the precious piglet and how she came to be a wonder in the lives of Mr. and Mrs Watson.
TEACHING CHARACTER TRAITS THROUGH COMPARE & CONTRAST
The two main vocabulary words that you need to target when introducing this story about how Mercy came to live on Deckawoo Drive are ORDINARY and EXTRAORDINARY.
