Read Across America with The Primary Pack--Teaching Diversity with Dr. Seuss

Horton Hears A Who, Gertrude McFuzz, and Green Eggs and Ham are three Dr. Seuss books that will help you teach the importance of tolerance, respect, and diversity during Read Across America Week!

March to a different drummer.

Be the YOU in unique.

Dance like nobody's watching.

Take the road less traveled.

Be the brightest crayon in the box.

Respect and accept others.

These are the important quotes that I will integrate into my language arts lessons next week with the help of many of my favorite Dr. Seuss books, and I've linked up with my colorful gal pals over at
The Primary Pack
to share them just in time for
Read Across America Week!

These story characters and more will help my students understand the importance of diversity in our learning and in our lives.  We will use these stories as a springboard for discussion about how what makes each one of them a special individual, as well as an integral part of a team.  I made this set of posters to use when I introduce each lesson, and you can grab your FREE set {HERE}!
