It is Finally here!

Today I am linking with Laura from Where the Magic Happens, Krista from Teaching Momster, and Lisa from PAWsitively Teaching! I have joined forces once again with my bloggy friends to bring you the best, most amazing giveaway on this Labor Day weekend!

We've all been thinking about  good ways in which to treat our readers and followers.   We thought hard, and I mean it! Really, really hard… and decided that  we can treat you to our best ideas to work smarter rather than harder… at school and home!

I know what it takes to be a great teacher.  The stress, the time, the energy… I could go on and on! I also know that we crave time to ourselves and our families.

So here I go!

Last year I discovered this terrific tip for hanging student work on Pinterest.  My life is now STAPLE-FREE!  Wooden clothespins, hot glue, and Washi tape are all you need to make them

I use them to display "masterpieces" in the hallway along our tack strip and in our classroom.  Taking projects down and putting new ones up each week or month is SO easy-peasy!

Another quick tip that was born out of time crunch this year, is putting this year's borders over last year's!  I changed my classroom theme from western to rock and roll, and instead of taking the gingham strips down, I just layered the denim ones over them!  I also laminate colored construction paper and put it up as "frames" for student work to keep the board looking uniform and bright!

I have always loved and read Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove novels about a beautiful, small town on the Pacific coast in Washington, and really enjoy the Hallmark Channel television show based on her books!  It airs on Saturday evenings, and then again on Sunday nights.  If I don't have plans with friends, I can be found snuggled up with Rosie, a bowl of popcorn, and a glass of wine on my couch watching!  If I can stay awake, I usually enjoy the movie that comes on afterwards!  During the Christmas season, I enjoy their holiday movies as well!

This year I decided to get all of my student's birthday bags and certificates ready ahead of time so that I am not scrambling around in a panic on the morning of a child's big day!  You can find this resource in my TpT store {HERE}.  The Backstage Birthday Pack is 50% off through this week, and includes brag tags, monthly posters, and graphing activities!

Be sure to grab this editable FREEBIE to help you get organized!

You can also read about both products in this blog post {HERE}.

Now in addition to enjoying all of  these great tips, check out these top-notch prizes and enter to win!

  1. Did you know that Hallmark has its own movie subscription service? It's at A friend just recommended that Cedar Cove series. I'll have to watch it - especially since it is based in WA state! :) I enjoyed your post. I still need to setup my student display area. I used the clothespins like that last year and it worked great. :)

    1. I didn't know that Hallmark had a movie subscription service! I will have to check it out! The scenery in Cedar Cove is breath-taking!

  2. I love your birthday product! What a fabulous idea!

  3. I love the Hallmark Channel and definitely need to check out Cedar Cove. So many have recommended that series.
