Fluency practice and rhyming lessons are a huge piece of my instructional practice as a primary grade teacher, and I am always trying to come up with new and engaging ways to
spark interest and improve the skills of my young readers.
I am hoping that my newest literacy pack of activities will do the trick!
My class LOVED "read the room" SCOOT games last year, and this one is designed to have them read ten  riddles posted around the classroom, and then record the correct rhyming word on their answer sheet.
The same poems that are featured in the "read the room" activity are included in full, and can be collated into a booklet for reading partners to share during your Read To Someone block.  A guideline and cover sheet are provided.
Pages can be three-hole punched and put in three-pronged folders for student use, or slipped inside page protectors and put on a large binder ring.
The poetry pages can also be laminated for durability and put out at a literacy center for students to  circle the rhyming word pairs.
You'll find this resource in my TpT store
