HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY TO ME! GIVEAWAY DAY 1 WITH A LITTLE PEACE OF AFRICA

Thanks so much for stopping by to celebrate with me over the course of
the next six days!  Last year at this time I was just launching
this little blog I call "home," and it feels really good to still be
here sharing stories, songs, creative ideas, laughter, and life lessons with you!

Know that having you with me as I travel this new path makes the journey a whole lot easier and a lot less lonesome!  The network of kind folks that I have built in this short time has expanded my horizons and swelled my heart.

This quote from one of my favorite poems truly sums my feelings up, and makes me truly humbled and grateful!

When I began planning this "pay it forward" party, I knew that I wanted to offer you something unique and special....and just a little bit
silver, gold, and sparkly.  In an effort to do just that, I reached out to the ever-gracious and oh-so-generous Laine from
A Little Peace of Africa
and
two custom holiday dream sets of clip art in my favorite color combinations were born!

When I was growing up, my father always strung multi-colored lights around our front porch every December.  My favorites were the blue and white ones.  This gorgeous bundle is dedicated to his memory, as this Christmas will be my family's first one without him.  He had blue eyes that twinkled just like the"baubles" in this set, and they will truly be missed this holiday season....

This homespun set mixes burlap, shades of red and green, and stockings to be hung by the chimney with care, and is a tribute to my mother.  She's been gone for 14 years now, but her love of all things Christmas is a legacy I work hard to keep alive for my own children.  She had a great eye for detailed decor, and was a master at always finding just the right presents for everyone.  She took great joy in giving, and that spirit lives on in me
and my five siblings.

Please make sure you complete the Rafflecopter carefully, as all entries will be verified!  I plan to announce today's winners  on Friday morning, as long as life does not interfere!  I am moving my daughter to Chicago this weekend and wrapping up a hectic week at school, but I will do my best to share the good news and e-mail out the prize packages in a timely fashion!
Friday, Nov. 7th, the featured giveaway prize is four products of your choice from my TpT store
so take a gander and see what you might like!  Tomorrow could be your lucky day!

  4. For sure, hands down, the blue set. It is just beautiful! Love the glitter and glam. It's just calling my name....

What I like best about the holiday season is the chance to think about all the glorious moments I had during the past year with my Son and Mom, before the new year starts! Congrats Sister;)

  5. I personally love both sets! I realize they are very different, but they give me happy feelings.

My favorite part of the holidays is seeing family members we don't get to see often enough.

My favorite thing about the holiday season is all of the extra activities we do as a family- going to church, family gatherings, baking, etc. I also love the cozy feeling of the season.
