JULY CURRENTLY... HOORAY FOR THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!

 Howdy all!

I've linked up this week's "favorite post" with Cara Taylor's blog,

It shares the highlights of my recent trip out West, and explains my
current obsession with all things ranch-related!
Watch for a new post soon about my upcoming classroom thematic
decor!  I "struck gold" at the craft store yesterday, and
can't wait to decorate Room #2!  I've used Cara's beautiful
bandana set of digital frames in a few of the new products I've created!

 July 1, 2014

I know that it has been NINE days since I last shared with you here, but I took a much-needed break from all things blog, technology, and school-related to spend time with my extended family out in South Dakota!

We held a memorial service for my father there, and spent lots of time re-visiting favorite places from our youth.  Our clan is 25+ strong when we all gather in one place, and lots of good food, funny pictures, great stories, and fond memories were shared as we took in the familiar tourist attractions, as well as the scenic landscape together.

I plan to write more about our trip, and highlight some of the fun classroom souvenirs I found while on it later this week, but for today I'll just spend some time reflecting with Oh Boy Farley's CURRENTLY linky party!

I hope you enjoy these grand photos from my family album!

Thanks again for continuing to visit my blog!  Feel free to leave a comment, and I will do my best to respond now that I am home to reliable WiFi!  Also, be sure to head back to Farley's blog and enjoy the other
CURRENTLY reflections from many of my blogger buddies!

Thanks for "sharing the love!"  I hope you'll stop back next Sunday!

  1. Hi Jennifer! I loved seeing your pictures of South Dakota. I'm in CT and things look VERY different here :-) I think I would love your 4th of July gathering - potato salad and deviled eggs are exactly what I'm bringing to my picnic! Good luck with your giveaway! ~ Lisa

    1. Hello, Lisa! I was in Connecticut this past May for a wedding, and it was beautiful there as well! Enjoy your holiday, and thanks for the well wishes on my giveaway! I have lots of details to wrap up before it goes "live" since I've been away from my computer for five days, but it will get done!

    1. Caramel or french vanilla are my favorite coffee flavors, Lindsay! My students often tell me that my cup makes our classroom smell like candy!

    1. My family time was great fun, Barbara, and relaxing out West was just what we all needed! We held my father's memorial service at a beautiful spot in Spearfish Canyon overlooking a waterfall, and it brought us all peace.
